After seeing so many anti-haul posts, I'm torn on if this trend has legs
My social media feeds have been flooded with videos where people talk viewers out of buying things, calling it deinfluencing. It's mostly about fast fashion and plastic junk, which I get because waste is a real problem. I saw one last week where a creator compared a trendy bag to a cheaper, longer lasting option, and it made sense. It felt good to skip buying something I didn't need. But I notice some of these same accounts still post hauls a month later, which feels fake. The trend seems to ride a wave of guilt about buying stuff, and waves crash. If it helps cut down on trash, even for a bit, that's cool. Still, I doubt it will last once people get bored of feeling bad about their shopping habits.

Can I deinfluence myself from buying snacks?

Is the snack aisle really that big of a deal?

Totally get wanting to deinfluence yourself from snacks. What worked for me was just not going down that aisle at the store, out of sight really did mean out of mind. It made the choice automatic instead of a fight.
