Vent: My new cold air intake sounded like a dying goose on the highway

Installed it last weekend, and on my first drive to work Monday, it started making this awful honking noise at about 55 mph. I had to pull over and check all the clamps, and one was just a little loose. Has anyone else had a simple install turn into a roadside comedy show?

My buddy's Mustang did the exact same goose impression when we put his intake in. We found the filter was just barely touching the inner fender liner at high speed. @hall.nina is totally right about taking that extra time to check everything. I spent a full hour after my install just double checking all the connections and hose paths. That careful walk around saved me from my own roadside honk fest for sure.

Tightened every clamp with a torque wrench after my first install made weird noises. That extra step stopped the whistling and honking for good. It's worth taking the time to do it right the first time.
