Tried a $200 throttle controller for my 3.5L EcoBoost last month
Installed it in the driveway, thought it felt amazing. Took the truck on I-95, got a little too excited with the sport setting. Next thing I know, the check engine light is on and I'm getting a throttle position sensor code. Had to pull over, unplug the thing, and clear the code with my scanner. Anyone else have one of these gadgets cause more trouble than they're worth?

Ever wonder if those things mess with the truck's learning over time? Might be fighting the computer every time you step on it.

Had that exact worry with my old F-150. Tuned it for better towing and the computer did relearn, but it took a few hundred miles. The key was getting a proper tune that matched how I drove, not just a plug-in chip. It stopped fighting me after the computer adjusted to the new fuel maps.

Feel like my truck's computer is smarter than I am sometimes. I swear it judges my driving choices.
