Ngl I thought electric cutouts would be a waste of money

I was dead set against them for years. Figured they'd leak or just sound like garbage. My buddy finally convinced me to try a set from Spintech on my 2018 5.0, and I honestly ate my words. They've held up fine for 8 months now with zero leaks, and being able to go from quiet to rowdy with a button is kinda addictive. Anyone else find a mod they were totally wrong about?

Same here man, I was one of those people. Had a buddy with electric cutouts on his Camaro and they sounded like a tin can full of rocks, so I wrote off the whole concept. Picked up a manual switch kit from QTP for my old Challenger last year just to try it out, and holy crap was I wrong. They've been solid for over a year now, no leaks, and flipping from dead quiet to obnoxiously loud at a stoplight never gets old. Makes me wonder what else I've been stubborn about for no reason.

That question at the end hits close to home, man. What else have we all been stubborn about for no reason is something I keep circling back to lately. I was the same way with aftermarket intakes for years, swore they were just noise makers that sucked in hot air. Then I finally tried a proper cold air setup with a sealed box and tune on my old Mustang and the throttle response difference was night and day. Makes me wonder how many other things I've dismissed just because the first or second attempt I saw was done poorly. What's something else you had a hard no on that ended up surprising you?
