My cold air intake install went sideways when the truck wouldn't start after
I was in my driveway last Saturday putting on a new intake kit, and I guess I didn't get the MAF sensor plug clicked in all the way. The truck cranked but wouldn't fire up, and I spent an hour checking everything before I found the loose connection. Has anyone else had a simple mistake like that throw you for a loop on a mod?

That MAF sensor plug is the first thing I check now after a similar headache. I spent two hours once because the rubber coupler had a tiny tear I couldn't see. It's not a simple mistake, it's the most critical step. The truck won't run if that sensor isn't reading air right. You got lucky finding it in an hour. I always double check every connection before I even touch the key.

People miss the basics when they're in a hurry. You see it with car stuff, you see it with everything. Rushing just makes you waste more time later.
