My cold air intake did not work the way I expected

I put a S&B intake on my 2015 5.0 back in March and I was hoping for a nice sound and maybe a little more power. What I got was a drop of 1.5 mpg on my commute in the city. I ended up putting the stock box back on and the mileage came right back. Has anyone else seen mileage loss from an intake on a 5.0?

Oh, tell me about it, right? I had the exact same thing happen to me last month with a similar product. I was so excited to try it out, read all the reviews, and then it just fell apart after two uses. Honestly, I should have known better, but the hype got me. Total waste of $40 and an afternoon of my life I'll never get back.
