My brother told me his 5.0 is faster stock than my tuned EcoBoost

We were at a gas station in Tulsa and he said, 'All that tuning and you still can't beat a V8 from the factory.' I mean, it got me thinking about chasing numbers versus real world feel. Has anyone else had a moment that made you question your whole build path?

That 5.0 is a great motor, but a well-tuned EcoBoost can absolutely hang with it, especially from a roll. Your brother might be talking about peak horsepower, but your turbo car has a torque curve that hits hard where it counts. I've seen tuned 2.3s run door-to-door with stock GTs on the highway. The feel of that turbo spooling is a different kind of thrill than the V8 rumble, and both are valid.
