Why does nobody talk about how bad group projects were for learning

I used to think group projects taught teamwork. But after a disaster in my marketing class at Phoenix Community College last fall, I changed my mind. Three people did nothing and one person did everything. The grade was the same for all of us. Does anyone actually learn from that setup?

Nope. Had the same thing happen in my English 102 class. Zero learning.

Yeah it's wild how far that experience reaches beyond just college. You see the same thing at work or even in how people learn stuff online, nobody wants to actually teach the basics anymore. Feels like they just throw you into the deep end and hope you figure out the swimming part yourself.

Oh GEEZ, you're totally right about the workplace thing but I gotta push back a little on the online learning part. There are actually some really good YouTube channels that break down the basics step by step, you just have to wade through a LOT of garbage to find them. It's like the GOOD teachers are out there but they get buried under all the flashy "learn in 5 minutes" stuff that skips everything important.
