I used to think memes about "the floor is lava" were just for kids
Then I saw a clip of a warehouse worker jumping between pallets to avoid a spill, and realized adults actually live this. Where do you draw the line between a joke and a real safety thing?

Wait, a warehouse worker actually did that to avoid a spill? That's wild, I thought that was just a joke from my childhood. Were they okay after that or did it just become a normal part of their shift?

Oh man, @gavinlopez you've got it a little mixed up - that clip wasn't a warehouse worker doing it on purpose as a joke, it was actually a safety training video gone wrong. The guy was trying to avoid a chemical spill and ended up doing the floor is lava thing for real because the alternative was way worse. But the joke isn't totally wrong either, I've seen warehouse guys basically play real-life frogger with forklifts and pallet jacks every day. The line between joke and real safety is when your heart actually starts pounding and you're not laughing anymore. Most places have rules about walking paths and spills for a reason, you know? Its funny until someone actually gets hurt.
