Finally figured out that 'two buttons' meme after seeing it for months
It was just a random cartoon panel about a guy sweating over two red buttons. The trick is the text people add changes the joke completely, like making it about choosing between coffee or sleep. Anyone know where that original art even came from?

My cousin got obsessed with finding the original artist too. She ended up tracing it back to some random Korean webtoon from like 2015. It just proves how memes totally lose their original context over time.

That whole search for origins thing is a rabbit hole. I mean, my friend did that with the "distracted boyfriend" meme and found some weird stock photo site.

My buddy Dave had the exact same confusion last week! He kept seeing it as a gamer thing about picking characters, then suddenly his sister used it for choosing between tacos or pizza. He spent an hour down a rabbit hole trying to find the source. I think it's from some old webcomic, maybe The Oatmeal? It's wild how one simple image got reused for every choice ever.
