Tried a 10-minute pure steam facial vs. my usual 20-minute double cleanse routine last week
I was running late for a client session and decided to just do a quick steam with no double cleanse beforehand. Honestly, my skin looked way more plump and the extraction was easier than when I spend forever massaging cleansers in. I tested it on myself three times this week with clients getting the full treatment after, and the difference is pretty clear. Has anyone else swapped out part of their prep for straight steam and seen better results?

That "way more plump" part caught my attention. I tried this once before a family dinner and ended up with a patch of redness that took hours to fade, so I've been nervous to try it again since.

Blame it on your skin type honestly. Some people just react more to stuff like that, I know I do with certain products. But here's the thing, you gotta ease into it, not just slap it on right before people are gonna see you. Try it on a night you're just hanging at home, see how your skin handles it after like 30 minutes or an hour. That redness thing, it's usually from the blood rushing to the surface, which is what makes it plump, but it fades way faster if you don't layer a bunch of other stuff on top. I've had that panic moment too though, standing in the mirror like "oh no what did I do." Just test it out on a lazy day when nobody's gonna see you, and you'll figure out if your skin can handle it.
