That time a client told me to just use her 'face cream' as eye cream
She said it was the same thing and I'd save her money, but after 3 days she came back with milia all around her eyes. Any other estheticians have clients who argue about product placement and then learn the hard way?

Three days later she showed up with these tiny white bumps" is my favorite part because it's like the universe hits fast forward on consequences when people don't listen. I had this one client who swore her fancy face cream was basically water and could go anywhere. I told her it would clog her eye area in a day, and sure enough she came back with a face full of milia looking like she got into a fight with a bag of sugar. You can warn people all day long but some folks just need to see the proof on their own face. Did she at least apologize for blaming you?

Oh man, I had a client do almost the exact same thing last year! She insisted her drugstore night cream was basically the same as the eye cream I recommended. Three days later she showed up with these tiny white bumps all under her eyes and was blaming me for selling her products that didn't work. I had to explain that face creams are way thicker and the skin around eyes can't handle that heavy stuff. She finally bought the eye cream after that but still acted like I was just trying to upsell her.

Her "acting like I was just trying to upsell her" part gets me every time. People refuse to see that different body parts need different formulas. It's not a scam, it's basic science.
