That one Thursday last month where every client canceled back to back

Honestly, last month I had a day where I prepped for 4 facials and a microneedling session, stocked up my fridge with chilled masks and serums, and then got three cancellations within 45 minutes. One lady said her dog ate her keys, another claimed she had pink eye but her Instagram story showed her at a pool, and the third just ghosted me. That left me sitting in my empty room for almost two hours scrolling through Shopify restocks and re-sorting my spatulas by color. Ngl, it felt like a weird victory in a way because I got to deep clean my ultrasonic scrubber and reorganize my product shelf by category. But I also lost like $300 in potential income that afternoon. Has anyone else had a string of no-shows or last minute cancels that actually gave you time to fix something you'd been ignoring?

Three days ago I had a client cancel a hydrafacial ten minutes before she was supposed to be here because she "forgot she had a dentist appointment." Like sure, Tracy, your teeth are more important than my rent. Ended up using that time to finally scrub the crusty mask residue off my little mixing bowls with a toothbrush, which I've been putting off for weeks. @the_avery at least you got those expired samples sorted, I found a dried up vitamin C serum from 2021 under my sink today so maybe I should take notes from you. The total loss was like $180 for me that afternoon but hey, at least my spatulas are now in rainbow order instead of just piled in a drawer.

Girl SAME. Had a Tuesday where two brides canceled their trial runs and a regular pushed back her peel. Ended up finally organizing that drawer of expired samples I'd been ignoring for months. Lowkey satisfying but also oof at the lost bag.
