Switched from cotton rounds to reusable pads for extractions - total game changer

I used to go through a whole bag of cotton rounds during a single facial, especially when doing extractions. After I picked up a pack of 20 reusable bamboo pads on Amazon for like 12 bucks, I noticed my extractions actually go faster. The texture grabs better and I don't have to keep grabbing new disposables. Has anyone else made that swap or do you have a different hack for extraction prep?

Honestly I used to think reusable pads were kind of a gimmick... like why bother when cotton rounds are cheap and you just toss them. But after reading how you said "the texture grabs better" I figured I'd try it. I got a set of bamboo ones and yeah the surface is way less slippy than cotton when you're trying to push out a stubborn blackhead. Plus my cotton rounds used to leave little fibers behind on my face sometimes which is annoying. Totally changed my mind on this one.

I switched to the konjac sponge route for a bit but those things get nasty fast if you aren't careful. Bamboo pads are way easier to toss in a mesh bag and just wash with my towels. The key is letting them fully dry between uses or they get that mildew smell.

Do you find you need a different cleanser with the bamboo pads too? I noticed my regular cream cleanser didn't spread as well so I switched to a gel one and it's way smoother on the reusable texture. Just a tip if you hit that wall like I did.
