Rant: A client in Dallas seriously asked me if I could 'steam clean' her pores like a carpet

I had to explain the whole process of extraction and proper home care while trying not to laugh, but it did make me realize how many people have zero clue about basic skin anatomy.

Gasped when I read that... "pressure wash" is somehow even worse than the carpet cleaning thing. Makes me wonder what people think goes on inside our faces all day. I swear half these folks think skin is just some kind of upholstery you can hose down at the car wash.

Had a guy ask me to "pressure wash" his blackheads once. Just showed him a basic pore strip and called it a day.

Honestly that's kind of fair though lol. If you don't work in skincare, why would you know the terms? The marketing for that stuff is a total mess anyway.
