PSA: My client's rosacea flare-ups dropped 80% after we cut out all foaming cleansers for 6 months.

Switched her to a cream cleanser and a pH-balanced toner from a local lab in Tempe. Anyone else see this kind of shift with barrier-focused routines?

Makes total sense, honestly.

It's wild how many skin issues come from stripping the natural barrier. My sister had the same problem with tight, red skin until she quit all the harsh drugstore washes. That local lab idea is smart, small brands often get the balance right. What cream cleanser did you end up using?

Yeah that point about stripping the natural barrier is so true, kim693. It's like we're all taught to scrub everything away, and it just makes things worse. I see it everywhere now, not just with skin. People over-cleaning their houses and killing their lawns with chemicals, same idea. We keep messing with systems that already work okay on their own. My partner switched to a super simple cream cleanser from a place called Earthwise, it's just in a little tub. No foam, no fragrance, just feels like lotion. Her skin calmed down in like a week.
