I used to think a full hour facial was the only way to do it right
For years, I pushed the 60 minute classic facial as my main service. I thought anything less was cutting corners. Then last month, a regular client who books every six weeks told me she was going to try a new place that does 30 minute express facials for busy weeks. She said, 'Sam, I love you, but sometimes I just need a quick reset and I can't block out a whole lunch hour.' That hit me. I looked at my own booking data and saw that 40% of my open slots on Tuesdays and Thursdays were going unfilled. So I added a 30 minute 'Power Glow' option focused just on deep cleanse, gentle exfoliation, and a mask. I priced it at $65 instead of $110. Those slots filled up in two days. Maybe we're too stuck on the old way of doing things? How do you all feel about shorter facial formats?

You're just training clients to look for the cheapest, fastest option now. The real value is in the full treatment where you can actually address skin concerns. Cutting the time in half means cutting the care in half, even if it fills slots.

Too stuck on the old way" is a bit much for just selling shorter facials.

You know, I used to think the same way. But I tried a shorter facial once and it actually felt pretty focused, like they got right to the point.
