Had a person try to use our facial steamer to humidify her houseplants yesterday.

She said her ferns looked dry and thought the steamer would help, so now I'm adding 'not for gardening' to the consent form.

Honestly I used to think that was clever, but now it just seems kinda risky for the machine.

Come on, it's not that wild of an idea. Those steamers just put out warm mist, and plants like ferns totally thrive in humid air. If the machine is safe enough for someone's face, it's probably fine for a fern across the room. The consent form update is just overkill for a bit of creative problem solving.
