Client said my extractions were too aggressive

She told me her skin felt raw for two days after a facial. I switched to using a comedone extractor with a gentler rocking motion instead of direct pressure. Anyone have a better tool for sensitive skin?

Two days of raw skin sounds like a serious reaction. That rocking motion is a good start, but maybe the tool itself is still too much. For truly sensitive clients, I've had better luck just using sterile gauze with no metal at all.

Just sterile gauze? I have to be honest, that sounds like a nightmare to control. On a really tender area, even cotton fibers can catch and drag if the skin is that reactive. I can't imagine getting enough pressure for a clean line without it bunching up. You must have the steadiest hands in the world.

Wait, two days raw? That's insane.

Ever think the problem is the pressure, not just the tool? I've seen people press way too hard with gauze too. Maybe the real trick is teaching that feather-light touch first, before anyone picks up anything.
