A client's quiet comment about my extractions made me stop and listen
After a facial about two weeks ago, a regular told me she felt a little sore for a full day after, and that she'd been 'holding her breath' during the extraction part. I realized I was going too fast and pushing too hard, trying to clear everything in one session. Now I set a timer for that step and never go over 12 minutes, and I check in verbally every couple of minutes. It's less about being perfect and more about keeping the pressure gentle. Anyone else adjust their technique after getting that kind of direct, honest feedback?

Oh man, that hits home. I once tried to pop a blackhead so aggressively I'm pretty sure I bruised my own face.

Hold up, you were trying to clear everything in one go? No wonder she was sore. That's like trying to run a marathon at a sprint pace. I'm honestly shocked you didn't get more complaints before this. It makes total sense to set a timer now, that's a solid fix. @jenniferw82, your friend's story proves it's not just a one-off thing, some people really do just suffer in silence. Good on you for actually listening and changing your method instead of just brushing it off.
