A client's casual comment about her home routine totally shifted how I view product recommendations

I was doing a facial on a regular, Sarah, last Thursday and we were chatting about her dry skin. I asked if she was still using the hydrating serum I sold her. She said yes, but then mentioned she only uses it at night now because in the morning she mixes a drop of it with her regular drugstore moisturizer to 'make it last.' My heart sank a little, lol. I asked her why, and she said straight up, 'It's just so expensive, Cora. I feel bad telling you I can't afford to use it twice a day like you said.' That hit different. I'd been on autopilot, giving the same 'use morning and night' spiel without considering budget. It made me rethink my whole consult script. Now I'm trying to build in a 'budget-friendly application' option for every product I suggest. Has anyone else started offering a 'lite' usage plan for clients who are stressed about cost?

It sounds like a toddler trying to explain tax law.
