A client told me my extractions were too aggressive and it actually made sense

Honestly, I had this regular who came in for a facial last month and straight up said, 'That really hurt, you're going too hard.' I was just doing my normal thing, but she showed me some redness that lasted for two days. So I switched to using a lighter touch with my comedone extractor and added a warm steam towel for a full five minutes before starting. Has anyone else had to adjust their pressure after feedback?

Good call listening to the client.

Listening to the client is the whole job, really. It's easy to get caught up in what you think is best and just push for that. But they're the ones who have to live with the work, not you. The best solutions come from understanding their actual problem, not the one you imagine they have. It saves so much time and headache to just hear them out first. Getting that right makes everything else easier.

Oh sure, but what if the client's idea is just really, really bad?
