Warning: Replaced a main line relay on a Mowrey last week without checking the door interlocks first
Ive been doing this 12 years and never thought to check the sequence on the hall door contacts before swapping parts. Stupid rookie mistake, spent 4 hours tracing a phantom fault till a helper pointed out the interlock was delayed by a quarter inch. Anyone else had a simple swap turn into a whole day of head scratching?

@emma_clark exactly right. Same pattern as my dryer - fix one thing, three other mysteries pop up.

Did you catch that trick in the latest trade tip newsletter about checking door contacts before swapping any relay? It's saved me a couple times since I read it.

Hell yeah, that stings. I used to be a 'just swap it and go' guy too. Thought checking the sequence was for newbies. Now I always run the door cycle first, saves a ton of headache. That quarter inch delay is brutal, caught me on a Bosch panel once.
