Rant: I tried the 'quick reset' method on a KONE Miconic 10 with a door fault and it made things way worse.

Everyone on my crew swears by cycling the main breaker for 30 seconds to clear random faults, but when I did it on a job downtown last Thursday, the car lost its floor level entirely. I spent the next four hours running relearns and checking the tapes because the controller dumped its memory. Has anyone else had a Miconic just completely lose its mind after a power cycle, or did I just get unlucky?

Yeah, my buddy had a Miconic dump its memory like that after a quick power cycle. Took him all afternoon to get it squared away too.

Man, I used to swear by that trick until the same thing happened to me.

Oh man, that trick is cursed. I did the same thing and the car started hunting for floors like it was playing a game. I had to do a full setup from scratch, and @adam731 can back me up on how much fun that is NOT. Some of these old Micronics just have a total brain dump if you look at the breaker wrong.
