I still do full cable inspections when others skip them
Many mechanics say visual checks are fine for traction cables to save time. I found a hidden fray by hand that eyes missed on a high-rise last week. That catch stopped a big breakdown, so I will always do the full check.

Notice how people skip basic care on their cars to save cash. Then they face big repair costs down the road. That short-term saving always costs more in the end.
