Fought a door lock for 3 hours then realized my mistake in 10 seconds
Last Wednesday I spent the whole morning wrestling with a stuck door lock on a Otis Gen2, checking voltages and door limit switches like a maniac. Turned out the rubber grommet on the lock was just worn down letting it shift by a hair. Has anyone else had a simple fix like that eat up hours before it clicked?

Did you check the grommet first thing or only after everything else?

Funny thing with mine was I actually swapped the grommet out as a preventative measure before I even started looking for the leak. Ended up being a cracked housing instead, so that was a fun waste of an afternoon. Have you ever had a part fail that was nowhere near where you expected?
