Half the time you can't even hear the difference" - my buddy Mike recapped this old Pioneer amp his dad left him, swore it sounded way cleaner. We did a blind test with a few songs and he picked the recapped one 4 out of 5 times. I still think a lot of it is in your head but that little test made me wonder.

Guess @lopez.simon hasn't tried an old amp that was literally falling apart yet, kinda like how my grandma's car runs smoother after a tune up.
