Had a run of 7 straight MacBook repairs that went perfectly last Wednesday

I don't know what was in the air, but last Wednesday every single MacBook that came across my bench in Austin was just a simple trackpad cable or a single bad RAM slot. No liquid damage, no broken board layers, no fighting with corroded screws. Usually I'm wrestling with something stupid for an hour, but that day every fix took under 20 minutes. Has anyone else ever had one of those weird golden days where nothing fights you?

Austin sounds nice but your golden day sounds like my average Tuesday with ThinkPads.

Haha yeah right? Once you fix enough ThinkPads they all start running together. That golden retriever energy is just a nice change of pace.

My buddy Dave bought a used T430 off eBay last year. It had a busted trackpad and the fan sounded like a dying blender. He spent three weekends replacing parts and tweaking the BIOS. Finally got it working perfect. Then he let his golden retriever puppy sit on his lap while he was working. Dog knocked a full cup of coffee right onto the keyboard. Fried the whole thing. He just laughed and ordered another T430 that same night.
