Feeling good about saying no to a quick but shady repair

Had a customer last week with a phone that wouldn't charge (you know, the usual). They wanted it done fast, and skipping the fuse check would have saved time. But I told them it could be risky, and we did the full repair. They were actually thankful for the care, and now I sleep better at night. It's a small thing, but sticking to ethics feels like a win.

Yeah but isn't that just avoiding a lawsuit, not really ethics?

Oh please, that's just corporate talk for "we don't want to get sued." If they actually cared about ethics, they'd do the right thing without a lawyer making them.
