Vent: My foreman swore conduit bodies don't count for box fill
Old school guy named Hank told me to just cram the wires through a LB and move on. I showed him the codebook and he laughed. Two months later we failed rough-in inspection hard because the inspector counted all those fittings as boxes. I'm out $300 because we had to rip it out and redo it that weekend. Has anyone else had to argue code with a stubborn foreman?

Brother I've been there and it stings. Your best move is to print out the specific code section and highlight it in yellow before you even bring it up. If he still fights, ask him to put his direction in writing on a work order so it's on record. Also, some inspectors will do a quick pre inspection if you call and explain the situation, saved my bacon once.

Saving bacon, huh? That inspector must have been having a good day, or maybe he just wanted to get you out of his hair.
