That one Thursday last spring where everything went right on a service call in Denver
Had a 1970s house where the owner claimed the lights flickered only when the dryer ran, and after 2 minutes of looking I found a loose neutral in the panel that took 10 minutes to fix. Other days I'll chase a phantom trip for 4 hours with no luck at all. Which side are you on, do you think good days come from experience or is it just random luck?

You ever have one of those days where everything just clicks? Buddy of mine had a call for a "popping sound" in a basement, turned out to be a loose screw on a breaker that he tightened in like 30 seconds. Then next week he spent six hours tracing a ground fault that ended up being a buried junction box under a deck, just pure dumb luck being on the right side of it. So yeah, I think some days the stars just line up and other days they're throwing asteroids at you.

I mean, I think people get a little too worked up about this whole good day bad day thing. It's just electrical work, you know, some days are easy and some days aren't. You fixed a loose neutral and that's fine but it's not like you solved world hunger. I've been doing this long enough to know that half the time it's just random chance and the other half is just having enough coffee to think straight. Honestly I think folks that spend too much time analyzing it are just looking for something to complain about.
