Passed 500 service calls this month and it hit me different

I hit 500 calls in November according to my dispatch logs. That's way more than I ever thought I'd do when I started out of trade school in Phoenix. It made me realize how much I've been running myself ragged just to say I'm busy. Anyone else ever track their actual numbers and get surprised by the real workload?

Did you keep track of what kind of calls you were taking on in that batch? Because I found a MASSIVE difference between my numbers once I started logging not just the count but the type of work. I was doing way too many quick fixes that felt busy but burned me out. What REALLY helped me was looking at the time per call and seeing which ones actually paid off. I started saying no to the little stuff that ate up my day and focused on the jobs that paid better. It cut my total calls down to around 300 a month but I made more money and felt less like a hamster on a wheel.
