Just passed my journeyman exam on the third try
Took the test again last Friday in Kansas City. Failed the load calcs twice before. This time I made a simple chart for service sizes. Kept it in my pocket during the test. Got a 92. My foreman bought me a new Klein multimeter. Anyone else have a trick that finally made the code click?

Is it really that big a deal to pass a test with a cheat sheet? I mean, a 92 is good, but the whole point of the journeyman test is to prove you know the code book on your own. If you need a chart in your pocket, what happens on the job when you don't have it?

Wait, they let you keep a chart in your pocket during the test? That's wild! I've never heard of that being allowed. Congrats on the 92 though, that's a killer score. The new meter from your foreman is a solid prize too.

Right? I used to think it was cheating too, but the instructor said it's about knowing how to find the info, not just memorizing. Totally changed how I see open-book stuff.
