Tried that expensive spray foam insulation and finally get the hype

I was always Team Batt Insulation because it's what my dad used and it's cheap. But after sealing up my garage attic in Edmonton last winter with closed cell spray foam from a crew called EcoShield, my heating bill dropped $80 a month. I'm still not sure it's worth the upfront cost for a whole house though. Anyone else made the switch and seen real savings or did you just waste money like I almost did?

Ngl I was the guy who spray foamed his whole crawlspace and then accidentally locked himself in there for 20 minutes because the foam expanded and jammed the door shut. Honestly the savings on my heating bill almost covered the therapy bill for that claustrophobia panic attack. Tbh it's definitely worth it but maybe bring a crowbar next time you check the work.

Gotta disagree @victor220, I've spray foamed three houses and never had that issue - did you check the ventilation first?
