Vent: My neighbor laughed at my DIY fence and then showed me his $5,000 professional job

He said 'you can tell it's homemade' about my cedar fence on 118 Ave, and now I'm looking at it sideways wondering if I should have just paid someone after spending 40 hours on it myself... has anyone else regretted a big outdoor project after a comment like that?

40 hours is a lot but a fence is a fence, what's the actual problem?

a fence is a fence" until your neighbor builds it six inches over the property line... my friend had that happen and it turned into this whole thing with lawyers and surveyors. took months to sort out.
