Swapped out my old circular saw blade last week after 4 years of abuse

I finally replaced the blade on my Hitachi circular saw after using the same cheap one since 2020. The difference was night and day. Cuts went from fighting the wood to sliding through like butter. Anyone else put off changing blades way longer than you should?

Hold up on that framing blade comment. Framing blades are actually pretty different from general purpose ones. They've got fewer teeth, bigger gulps, and are meant for ripping through studs fast. If you were burning wood with a framing blade, it probably wasn't the blade's fault - might've been feeding too slow or the blade was actually dull as heck. Diablos are good though, no argument there. Just saying, different blades for different jobs.

Oh man, I read this article just the other day that said most folks run their blades way past when they should swap them out. It was talking about how a dull blade actually makes the saw work harder and can be dangerous because it binds up. I remember I was using this old framing blade on my Skilsaw and it started burning the wood so bad I thought the motor was gonna give out. Finally put a new Diablo blade in and it cut like a dream, made me feel silly for waiting so long.
