Rant: That cheap laminate flooring from the liquidation place cost me double in the end
Thought I was smart buying that clearance laminate from the place on 50th street for 80 bucks total. Now 6 months later half the boards are lifting cause the locking system is garbage and I gotta tear it all out. Anyone know a decent supplier in Edmonton that won't screw me again?

Hang on, 80 bucks for a whole floor? That's basically paying in pocket lint and good intentions. I'm not saying it's not frustrating, but you gotta wonder what you were expecting from a deal that sounds too good to be true. Maybe the floor just needs a little more love, not a total replacement? Could be worth looking at just re-gluing the seams or something before you go full demolition mode.

Why not just save up for something decent instead of patching junk?

My buddy tried that same kinda shortcut with some old paint he got from a salvage yard. Looked fine going on but started peeling off in sheets after two months like bad sunburn. He spent more time scraping and sanding than if he just bought new paint from Home Depot. Sometimes those bargain deals turn into a whole weekend project you never planned for.
