Borrowed $200 laser level beat my $700 one on a reno in Oliver

After 3 weeks of fighting a crooked kitchen cabinet run with my expensive green laser, my neighbor's old red self-leveling unit had it squared in 20 minutes, has anyone else found the fancy stuff is just more finicky for basic framing jobs?

really self-leveling" is doing a lot of heavy lifting lol. I had one that claimed it on the box and it still came out so crooked I had to shim the whole base. It settled like 2 inches on one side after a week, no joke. I thought maybe I installed it wrong, but nope, the bubble level said it was fine before I even put it up. Ended up having to bolt it to the wall just to keep it straight. Mine never evened out on its own, so I'm with you on calling that out.
