That drywall crew I hired cut 2 days off their estimate after switching to a new dust collection setup

Oh man, that's awesome to hear! It's crazy what a difference the right equipment makes, isn't it? I had a similar thing happen with a crew I hired for some exterior work, they cut a whole day off their timeline after they upgraded their vacuum setup for their grinders. It's one of those things where you don't realize how much time you lose cleaning up and fighting dust until you actually get a system that controls it right from the start. Really makes you think about what else might be slowing things down on a job.

Hold on, are you sure you're not giving the dust collection too much credit here? I've seen a lot of crews cut days off estimates just by getting more experienced or working faster, not because of one piece of gear. Dust collection is nice for keeping the place clean and your guys' lungs healthy, but it doesn't actually speed up the mudding and taping that takes all the time. The cleanup alone from regular dust is maybe an hour at the end of the day, not a whole two days. I think the real savings probably came from them just getting into a better rhythm on your specific job.
