My basement Reno timeline blew up after I switched drywallers halfway through
I took a guy's advice from a post here to dump my first drywall crew mid job. He said they were dragging their feet and I agreed after they took 3 weeks just on taping. New crew from Sherwood Park finished the whole basement in 10 days and the finish is way smoother. Has anyone else switched contractors mid project and actually came out ahead?

3 weeks just on taping sounds INSANE to me. That is completely ridiculous, I cannot believe you waited that long before pulling the plug on those guys. Honestly though good on you for actually listening to that advice and making the switch because most people would just stick with the bad crew out of fear or inconvenience. That Sherwood Park crew must have been a total night and day difference if they knocked out a whole basement in 10 days with better quality. I bet you feel like a genius now for making that move.
