Checked out that new hardware supply place off 99 Street last week

I stopped into that new building supply spot on 99 Street near the Henday, and I noticed they stock 5 different kinds of vapor barrier tape. Most places just have the basic stuff, but they had one rated for -30 installs that actually stuck to the concrete. Made my air sealing way faster on a basement reno I'm doing. Has anyone else found a supplier with decent tape options around here?

Three times I used that cold weather tape and three times it let go within a week. First time was on a rim joist in a garage, second was around a window buck, third was on some ductwork. Each time it started bubbling and peeling right at the edges where the real cold hits. I ended up going back to the basic white stuff from the big orange store and just heated the concrete with a heat gun first. That held solid all winter no questions asked. So yeah I'm with you completely on that rating being a bit of a joke.

Man I actually gotta disagree on that concrete tape, I tried it on a cold pour wall last month and it peeled right off after 2 days. The regular stuff from Home Depot held better for me lol. Maybe your concrete was cleaner or something but I was not impressed.
