Tried using a ras这把 and it shredded my hand in 5 minutes

I was working a ceiling patch job in a bathroom, and instead of just using my knife I grabbed a rasp to smooth a tough edge. That thing grabbed the paper and my knuckle at the same time. Anyone else just stick to a sharp 6" knife for final passes?

Rasp and my knuckles had a real nice meeting too. Guess my skin isn't as tough as the drywall.
