That one curved wall in a Denver loft took me three days to finish

It was a 12 foot radius curve with a 45 degree return at each end. I thought I could muscle the 5/8 board into place with a helper, but it kept cracking at the compound bend. Ended up having to wet the back of the sheet and use every clamp in the truck to slowly form it over two days before I could even start taping. Has anyone else found a better trick for a tight radius like that?

Ever try to bend a piece of trim around a curved fireplace? I used the hot water trick on some oak once and it worked... until it dried and the whole thing just popped off the wall like a spring. Had to start all over with thinner strips.

Three days for one wall" seems like a lot. Couldn't you just cut the board into smaller strips for a curve that tight?

Three days is rookie numbers. I once spent a week on a curved soffit that still looks like a potato.
