Taping angle says 90 but it's not. Level says otherwise after 80 feet of mud.

Finished a basement in Burnsville last month. Client had a corner that looked square to the eye, my angle tool said 90 flat. But their back wall was off a quarter inch by the time it hit the ceiling. I already had all the tape and two coats on. Took a 4 foot level to it after the fact, that corner was out half a degree. A guy I sub for said he checks every corner with a level before he tapes, no matter what the tool says. Never bothered before because taping tools are the ones that wear out, not the framing. But I guess framers can be sloppy too. Anyone else go by the level on corners the whole way down, or do you trust the angle finder and adjust after?

Man, half a degree over 80 feet is basically nothing when you're standing in a room... most people ain't gonna notice that unless they're literally staring at the corner with a straight edge. I get it if it's way off, but that's like splitting hairs.
