Spent $40 on a drywall lift and it was worth every penny for this basement job

Rented one for a Saturday and after fighting with that thing on the ceiling for 8 hours, I realized I could have bought a cheap one for what I paid in rental fees. Has anyone else just bought their own instead of renting?

Bought my first one off Craigslist for $50. It was beat up and missing a caster but still did the job. Used it for three basements and a garage ceiling. Sold it two years later for $45. Basically free tools after that.

Thought I was saving money until my ceiling got that special dimple finish from my forehead.
