Pushed mud too thin for 3 years until a foreman on a job in Phoenix showed me my tape was bubbling because of it.
He just looked at my pan, said that's basically water, and mixed me a fresh batch that actually held - anyone else get set straight by some old timer on a random site?

That Phoenix heat is brutal. I remember working a patio job in Scottsdale back in 2010 and some old timer named Frank looked at my hawk and just laughed. He said my mud looked like a milkshake and told me to go watch the water truck. Never forgot that lesson.
