Old timer on a ceiling job told me 'stop fighting the board'
I was wrestling a 12-foot sheet on a stairwell ceiling near Raleigh and this guy watching just said "let the board do the work." He showed me how to angle it so the weight carried it into place instead of me pushing. Anyone else had a senior hire drop a tip that totally changed how you handle big sheets?

Read something once about an old guy who said drywall is a lot like sailing. You don't fight the wind, you use it. Same with those heavy boards. Let gravity be your partner.

That's the kind of tip that saves your back for the rest of your career right there.

Watching the older guys work taught me more than any manual ever did. Have you had any tricks passed down to you that just stuck?
