Just spent 5 hours fixing a corner bead that should have taken 20 minutes

I was putting up a metal corner bead on a kitchen remodel in Austin and kept getting bumps no matter how much I pre-bent it. Does anyone else find that the pre-bent corners from the big box stores just don't match up to the ones you hand-bend yourself, or is it just me?

Honestly, "pre-bent" is just code for "we made it wrong so you can fix it yourself." Tbh I think those big box beads are cursed, they always fight you like they're alive.

My uncle dropped $40 on a pre-bent kit from Home Depot last month and honestly it sat in his garage for two weeks before he just went and bought regular copper pipe. I get that @finley729 might have a point about the big box stuff being weird, but I've used pre-bent elbows for a sprinkler system once and they worked fine. Maybe it's just a bad batch or a specific brand that's causing all the trouble? Seems like a lot of frustration over something that's pretty standard in most hardware stores.
