I used to think those corner trowels were a gimmick for new guys. My foreman in Kansas City made me use one on a big hotel job last month and I'm a convert.

Right? They save so much time on inside corners once you get the hang of it. What kind were you using?

The cheap plastic ones from the big box store. They're honestly junk and flex too much. Upgraded to a metal corner trowel last year and it's a total game changer. The difference in control is night and day. Won't ever go back to the flimsy stuff.

@nancybailey you nailed it with that upgrade. It's funny how once you use something decent you can't go back to the junk. Reminds me of how people buy cheap tools over and over instead of just getting a good one once. Same thing happens with paint brushes or even kitchen knives. People think they're saving money but really they're just making the job harder. A metal trowel is one of those things that just makes sense once you feel the difference.
