Hot take: I thought those corner trowels were just a gimmick for new guys

For the longest time, I just used my regular trowel on inside corners and figured the little bit of extra mud was fine, it would sand out. Then I got stuck doing a whole house with these super sharp, modern corners and my usual method was leaving a mess. A buddy on the crew, Mike, basically forced his 4 inch corner trowel into my hand and said 'Just try it on one room, you stubborn mule.' I did, and man, the difference was night and day. It laid the mud in so clean and tight on both sides at once, cutting my sanding time on those corners by more than half, easy. I had to eat my words. Now I keep one in my bag for every job. Anyone else have a tool they swore was pointless until it saved your bacon?

Wait, you were just letting that extra mud build up in the corners? That's wild, man, I can't imagine the sanding hell that must have been. Those corner tools are a total game changer for clean lines.
